That looks like some kind of aftermarket rig.  I've never seen that in any of the S+ power supplies I've ever used.

one more oddity - there were 3 machines off a cruise ship - all 3 were locked with secure lock (medeco?) - all 3 had this wiring mod from the power supply to the back of the wba11 transport AND all 3 had ID024 transports and heads???? These are S+ machines!!

Woah!  They might have a protocol translator of some sort inside the power supply.  If they are WBA 13's can you read the eprom and verify the file is IDO 24 by looking at the file through a hex editor.  If they are IDO 24, then you have a valuable find there.  It would allow any S+ machine to accept all current US bills!.

they are wba11 - these were not added after the fact as the machines were locked and had psr docs in them.  Haven't stripped them down yet - will remove the parts later.

Here is the bill head and transport - flash memory -  again these were in a locked machine which I believe was the way it left the cruise ship - true - they MAY have thrown in these parts to make a parts complete machine

Are they WBA 10 or WBA 12's?  They are on S+ machines you mentioned right?  If they are WBA 12's it would be interesting to try one flashed with 3.80 software to see if the S+ will take the new colored $100's.

this is a board that was mounted behind the bv housing - the wiring from the power supply inputed and output to the wba11 wiring harness.
