Title: Useless Bally Proslot s5500 Blazing 7s
Post by: Supes81 on August 22, 2017, 05:57:33 PM
As I mentioned in a previous post, I recently purchased a Bally Proslot s5500 Blazing 7s machine only to find out that I should have done some research ahead of time (I am totally new to this). Turns out when I got the machine home it would power up but not work. The machine was missing its CPU. In addition, only one of the reels had a legible SMI number and it doesn't correlate to my machine. So, even if I could get a board I won't have the right chips for the game. That leaves me stuck with a large, very heavy novelty lamp  :banghead:

I am reaching out to see if anyone is able to sell me a theme along with glass, reels tapes, and a board with the related SMI numbers. I'm already $400 in the hole and hopefully this could be a reasonably priced alternative to scraping the machine.

If needed I can provide pictures of my current machine and/or any other information needed.

 :thank_you:

Try contacting Scott Bennett, his phone numbers 760-613-1080 or E-Mail him at scottcindysammy@gmail.com.. He has a lot of Bally slot parts.

FYI for future purchases of slot machines, make sure they power on and work before handing over the $$.. If the person won't let you test it, then walk away.. There are a lot of scammers out there.. They will tell you it works, but don't just take there word.. If they won't let you plug it in, think the worst.. Sorry to hear about your machine. Maybe someone here lives close to you, your profiles not complete with location, so if you give us your city and state, maybe some can help you locally..

Yeah, I did plug it in and it lit up looking all pretty...so I just assumed I was good to go. He told me ahead of time that he didn't know much about the machine and he got it on a trade for some work he did.

I updated my profile. I will definitely try contacting Scott.

Thanks Gary

Well if you do buy another machine down the road, you should see numbers in the displays, and the reels should spin on the boot up cycle, not just the florescent lights.. Hard way to learns this lesson...

Glad to help out. Scott has helped me a few times with some hard to find Glass. At that time is when I learned that he mostly only worked with the Bally machines. I'm sure I will be dealing with Scott again, and possible very soon..
