Title: WBA-12-SS swapped WBA-13-SS
Post by: Eddiie on September 23, 2017, 03:31:12 PM
Hi,
I ordered a WBA-12-SS for BB1 and got a WBA-13-SS.   I plugged it in and nothing happens.  Am I missing something here?
No cycling on power up either.

Check the chip to see if it's ID003. Also check to see if there is a RS232 card is attached to the side of the transport. 12/13ss are identical except the 12 is flashed & 13 uses an eprom.

My bad, the transport says WBA-13.  The head says WBA 1X HEAD   EX201113067
Hold on, let me check some things, I'll post back in a little bit.  :)

OK it is a WBA-12-SS head.  There is a sticker on the transport that says WBA-13-SS but the head is a WBA-12-SS.
It does not cycle on power up.

I've swapped my old heads and no matter what the new transport will not cycle with either head.
The new head and old transport will cycle but both report BillVal Com error.

This is on a BB! / NXT1.   JP1, JP2 are on positions 2/3.  :/

I have another one coming from a reliable source on Monday, but would like to see if this one works...

Turned out to be jumpers on the backplane.
The WMS manual says one thing, but needs another.
