Title: How to remove door?
Post by: ninnjinn on October 21, 2017, 05:55:39 AM
I have my Sights on an S+...  My First RNG machine.  While I do have friends and neighbors, However,  due to my work schedule and their work schedule, I cannot find anyone to help me unload it until next weekend, And I really do not want to be driving back and forth to work with a slot in the back.  Yeah, I could wait to pick it up, but the seller is moving before then...  My house is 4.5 feet above ground level with no porch.  I do not have a truck or SUV, SO I will be using a hatchback car.   I know, you are either thinking I am crazy/ stupid or you are  :24: :rotfl:   I have measured multiple times and the machine will fit with the candle off.   And I will be sure to get pics to prove that you can fit a 48inch slot in the back of a Prius!!!

What I am wanting to do is make the machine as light as possible since I will have to be heave ho'ing this thing by myself.  I have read how to take top box off, hopper, reels, and the brains of the machine,  But Am wanting to know what is involved to remove door.  I plan to do all this stuff at the seller's place to make life easier for when I get home.

I have seen the HF table lifts,  but I can't see buying one just to use it 1 time.  I don't have the room for any more slots...

A 16" will fit in a Prius hatchback with 2 adults and 2 teenage kids .. and a drive from OH to WI. Those kids had to be hating it but the Mom wanted it for her Mom.

Candle should fit between front seats.

If you want to take the door off you can. Phillips screw driver and dikes for cutting cable ties.

Harnesses .. two for lights .. one main one that goes to the top of the MPU box (3 or 4 connectors there) plus a small 2 wire that needs disconnected.

About 6 screws for the door hinge which is behind the black edge protector that runs the length of the hinge .. screws behind it .. two can stay in and lift door up and over screw heads.

If it doesn't make sense let me know.
