Worked on my machine this am resetting up my progressive on my Triple Double Wild Cherry. Got it working, spin reels, progressive incrementing all was good. Went back to work and about 30 min later machine still had power but VFD lights and credit/coins played lights had gone out along with all the button lights. Tried restart and got nothing. Checked power supply to ensure it was secure etc.. MPU has 4 yellow lights, one green and one red flashing. Pretty sure its a 504 board. Any ideas? Between this little devil and my gamekiing who has a dead lcd screen I'm going crazy. Any ideas?

first, as with any electronic troubleshooting, you have to check the actual voltages the power supply is putting out to know for sure it is good, evn then its no guarantee it won't fail when a load is applied. if the fluorescent lamps are on pretty good indication the +25 vdc is good, now to see if the +13vdc is good. the power supply for the game king and the machine are one in the same.
the "red" flashing LED is not good, usually means the board is not booting, typically because of software issues (chips) or something more horrible, like a leaking varta battery all over the surrounding traces.
I have 504B boards available if you need one.

Yep, sorry folks bad MPU, swapped chips to new board, couple of resets with the jackpot key and back up and running!

Do you still have the bad MPU board or did you send it to Jim?
What I'm wondering, is what EXACTLY was the problem on the MPU? I'm sure it was "bad," but that means something specific wasn't working or perhaps one trace had no continuity.

Board is just out in the garage. I looks OK but I didn't inspect it too closely.
