Howdy All,
I have a nice working Fortune 1 board. I recently put a new battery in it to hold the data & it did for a day or so & that was it? I soldered the battery bed back in twice so it's not that & also rubbed fine steel wool well on the contacts & still nothing? Once you turn the machine off & turn it back on later it holds no data? I'm thinking it's a Cap. Any suggestions which cap to try or any other fixes would be appreciated.

The 5101 RAM chip could be going bad or the battery voltage is not reaching the RAM chip.
Look at page 98 of the attached manual.

I'll try changing the chip. I sold the machine with another board that held data, so I can't test it at this time to see if that's it
