Title: Convert from a quarter coin to a nickel machine?

I have a Bally 6000 that is currently set up as a quarter machine, I know I would need a different hopper but would I also need a nickel head as well?

no . there's no way of jamming  2 nickels at same time so it would work fine

A nickel is thicker than a quarter, if you have a quarter coin head that isn't real worn a nickel will not go through it.
