Title: BB2 Subwoofer
Post by: AJ on May 09, 2020, 06:40:08 PM
Do the BB2s have subwoofer issues?  My subwoofer was crackling and cutting out so i replaced it with one i got from patriot gaming.  Now all of a sudden a day later the new subwoofer cut out and im getting nothing from it.  Im not even showing any ohms on an ohm meter.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
AJ

I've only ever had one and I've never had any issues with it.

I wonder if this could all stem from my backplane issue.  Im Im go to replace that first and if need be the amp to see if things change. This machine is getting frustrating!

I broke out the trusty multimeter.  Its just got to be my luck with bad subwoofers.  Im reading 0ohms and a open circuit across the subwoofer wires.  So it has to be the subwoofer and not the amp.   Im getting solid voltage readings from the amp.

I have 2 BB2 that i had issues with the subwoofers, i ended up taking them apart and installed new wires from the speaker to the amp and have not had any issues since.
