Title: Bally video slot identification help (cinevision I think)
Post by: Seanm on August 24, 2014, 06:52:52 PM
Hello to all, I am trying to identify this machine that I bought a while ago. Once I can tell what machine it is I want to get a key card?(to change advanced settings), and change the game to Power strike with Progressives if possible. I would really appreciate any help that I can get. I am going to attach a couple of pictures of the current game, and the game that I would like to change it to. I want to change it to some sort of multi progressive game like Hot Shot Progressive, Quick strike Progressive. I am sure this is a common question, but I just can't find any info on what to do and what works with what. Sorry if I am being redundant.

If it ends not possible to change the game, I would at least like to get the card that will let me enable multi denomination, max credit bet, and other advanced settings. Like the key chip for igt s2000 machines.

The top  3 pictures are what it is currently( Mediterranean, fortunes of the deep ) the last is what I would like to change it to.

Thanks Sean Moore

Depending on what your OS Number is (operating system) That would dictate which clear card you would use.  This is the top card above the Game card.  Depending on your Game Version (on game card) not all had the capabilty of multi-denom, etc. But some do.  A 336-xx is a very popular operating sys to use because of it's versatility,  If you have a 336os you would use a 335 clear,  Then you could install your new game kit and set it up.  Hope that answered a few of your questions.  Once you find your os number sure a vendor here will help on what is needed and may even offer you a upgrade on os sys. also if you need it.   Also,  almost forgot it is a Cinevision.

Thanks for the reply, it is a AVOS00000336-09 ALPHA OS 2 GB card. I assume that is the 336 that you were talking about? If so where do I go to buy one of these 335 clear cards that I need? Will the 335 card allow me to setup the advanced settings without having to reinstall the game every time I use it, or is the 335 card used just for installing the new game?

I am going to attach a couple of pics of my board and the chips that are removable.

I hope I am not asking too many ?'s , sorry!

If everything is as needed, can you give me some names of who to talk to about getting a game kit for this machine?

I really appreciate all the help you all have given me in figuring this out!

Sorry I am a bit late on seeing this, Just got back.  The 336 is all you need.  You just need a 335 clear.  Just about anyone of the vendors should be able to help with that if they have not already offered, If not just post a "WTB" in the classified section.  I may have a few cinevision kits-will look, Others also have some.  You have a 512 mpu/brainbox.  You may-in the future want to up-grade to a 1gig/2gig box-That is as powerful you can make it until you step into alpha-2 equipment.

I second  upgrading to a 1gig box. You will be able to run some of the newer, (almost Alpha 2 titles) like, Wild Huskies, Emerald Falls, Mustang, Golden Reef, Gold Bug, Instant Riches and some others. Also, if you throw a video card in the box and add a PC monitor to the cabinet, you can play games like Fireball or Lightning Jackpots. I did this with an M9000 and brought new life into the cabinet.

To be clear on Progressive titles - these are NOT multi-denom, but all games without progressives you can set up as Multi-Denom (there are some exceptions like Gold Bug series will NOT let you set it up as Multi-Denom and it has no progressive).

Also, I have been looking for the Fortunes of the Deep titles - How is it?
