Title: NXT 3.2 sound on a converted BB1 to BB3
Post by: Yoeddy1 on July 20, 2021, 02:16:21 PM
Hey all,

Got a question…I’m getting old, and can’t keep up on all of the technical ins and outs of WMS BB upgrades.

In a BB1 that’s using an Emotive, a switching power supply, and NXT 3.2 MPU, remind me what the story is with the sound.  Am I limited to the black phono jack for sound, or can I plug an RCA cable into the digital orange jack and the other end into the amp?  Is there any difference in the sound?

Thanks,
Jason

If your amp assembly has the digital input jack, it will work.  Digital sound tends to be louder and somewhat crisper in the highs.

I find the digital jacks get loose and sometimes fall off the board....

Sometimes I have to re-solder them back on....ugh....just bad design to let full weight of audio jack cord to pull down on the circuit jack reciever.
