Title: S2000? Nah, S3000 please
Post by: buzzarama on October 02, 2014, 01:49:31 PM
Got to take a look at the S3000's at G2E and let me tell us, they at pretty snazzy.
IGT/GTECH (combined they will be "NEWCO") Is bringing over 20 classic titles and developing 40 more for the S3000's.

All the led's throughout the machine (s) react to bass lines in music. Pretty cool when you see the whole bank dancing to Megan Trainors "All about that bass"

They have AVP 4.0 brainboxes, JCM iNcision b/a's and GenIII Evolution printers. The 3 reel version has 4"reels and feature led brightening and dimming for players.

I have a short video of the led's dancing, have to wait until i get home to post it.

We are working up a PO for 8 of them commercially so I will get to play around with them. IGT will stop supporting the S2000 in March 2015.

They are just over-glamorfied s-avps with lots of bling bling drapped on them.  I seen the guts as well. These will be cool.

Agreed,  much simpler inside though ( I added a pic of the innards). Brand spanking new with a game priced at $15K is better than an SAVP though. I can put my classics on these and use my SAVP's for premium stuff.

They are much cleaner-Less going on inside the "box"  but they are cutting-trend and kinda exite me as well for the challenge and the enjoyment of playing them.  I am sure the patrons will enjoy as well.  I think they will do good with this.

Ron,  Thanks for posting the link.  This will truely be a new begining and the edge igt needed -Yes I know they got bought out.  I still call them igt.  I think some one used Si Redd's notes.  Why not give folks what they want in a modernized version.  This will be nice for some years to come as the s-2k was and is.

Same old boring shit.
I disagree.  They are fun and have plenty of bling.  Perhaps what you have is boring?.  Want to compare what's fun and what's boring?  I think that answer lies in what one likes in games and likes to play.

It's kind of cool, they are linked, or they have a mic and react accordingly.  Nice "attract" mode, a good party trick for the man cave.

I came across some of these S3000s in Vegas today. I didn't win on them but they're really super nice machines!  :cool_thumb_up:
I checked the IGT manufacturers data plate, they were stamped 11/2014.

The ones I played were in The Venetian. There were four of them, all $1 with three credit max bet. They were right near the poker room entrance/exit.

Live play on a TDDiamond S3000.

I look forward to losing $500 in 10-20min once my local dilapidated Indian casino gets one! They're usually 2-5years behind the curve.  :cool_thumb_up:
