Title: Fortune 1 Sounds
Post by: RJ on October 22, 2014, 08:07:08 PM
I just finished wirring up a sound board the GF picked me up from Larry Weber. The machine never had sound. I added the speaker , AC wirring and plugged the ribbon cable into the input connector(G1) so the cable goes across the board.

I have never heard the sounds from a Fortune I.
So far it goes threw a serious of sounds when you press max credit or one credit at a time. Goes threw 5 sounds for 5 coins.

When you win only sound is from the coin counter.

Question I have...when should the sounds come into play? I would think on a win.

Thanks
RJ

Yep, that video sums it up. He never did win a hand.

She wanted to get me something I would use for my B day.

I think I will add a bell ring circuit off the coin counter, so it rings when you win, before she plays the machine again.
Thanks for the video link

I remember when an engineer named Bill Wells designed that sound board while I was working at IGT and the sounds were basic and brief.

Your sound board is working properly, that's all of the sounds you will hear on it.

A win sounds like a siren, coin in has 5 different sounds, one for each coin.

Thanks for History of the sound... I Get 5 different sounds for coin in. No sound so far for any type of Winning hand. Jacks or Better or 3 of a Kind.

I am going to look for bent pins on both sides of the ribbon cable and go from there. I never had the cable off on the interface board.
