Title: IGT I-Game bad picture
Post by: keystone9 on February 08, 2017, 06:29:36 AM
I have an I-Game that when I key chip the monitor is clear but when the game boots up monitor is pixalated. Tried it in another cabinet and the same problem. What causes this? Thanks. Bill.

The MPU isn't booting the game software.  Many times it's due to an EPROM installed backwards, in the wrong place, a bent pin, or a SIMM card not seated correctly.  If that checks out OK try a different software set in the MPU and see if it boots.  If it does then something is bad with the software, if not then the MPU itself may be bad.  It's possible the power supply is the cause as well, but since you tried the MPU board in a different machine that's probably not too likely.
