Howdy All,
I have a new Universal in White Diamonds & have it fully working & all cleaned up. The problem I'm having is that it will only hold 239 credits/partial pay 239. I set the daugter board with 1 off & #2 & #3 on for a 1200 credit hold with no luck. The 2 pack on the board are all off as with my other Unversals. Could the setup be different due to the game used or maybe to do with the 2 addition red switches on the board? In Test the numbers start with #99116 #90013 #99382 #90001 #90239. I have 5 Universal in my game room & also have another one that I also can't change the credit hold, it's at 2500 & the Game is Double Thunder. 2500 on Double Thunder I'm OK with, but the 239 on the 5cc White Diamonds I'd really like to change up if possible. The daughter boards are both fully working as I have changed them with others to rule that out.
Both of these boards have 2 additional red swtches next to the 4 pack on the board that my other 8116 boards don't have. I have no idea their use. Pictured below

You must perform a RAM clear after changing dips. Did you do that?

Yes always after any change.
Update - I think it has something to do with the software. On the daughter board if I turn 1 2 & 3 on it will hold 300 credits if 1 & 2 on 100 credits 1 & 3 on 300 credits again. 1 only 10 credits. If I put these chips in any of my machine boards it does the exact same thing. Both game software sets I mentioned do the same thing in any board & I see nothing in the manual that matches this? If I put my other different games software in any of my boards the dips set as they should? It's stage unless there is someting I'm missing?
