Title: Bally S6000, showing 2.0. and 5.5.
Post by: ardac14 on February 15, 2022, 03:51:56 AM
My Bally S6000 is not taking any coins and coin comparitor led is not on. When I start the machine it opens with odd sound or beep and 2.0. and 5.5. numbers are flashing in the display.

I made test 3 and coin optics is working and also when I start that test the green light is on in the coin comparitor and it takes coins. But when I quit the test the green light goes off. Do I have to clear those errors, but I don´t have Bally clear chips? Can i do that dip8 clearing without clear chips and does it clear also those errors? I think the error codes prevent the coin compasitor?

The error 20 is coin jam, am I right, do they use the same codes than S5500? And is 55 also error or what?

Can I downlod bally S6000 clear chips images from somewhere?

Opening and closing the door will clear the errors if the 20 coin jam is resolved and 55 cash can door at the bill validator is resolved. Open and close the door 2-3 times.  If the errors are still there, 20 may have a coin stuck in the coin optics or the optics are dirty and need disassembled and cleaned including the prism.  55 BV cash can door switch is open or the cash can is upside down or not fully seated. Don't need to clear MPU for these errors.

I checked stacker and 55 error is now gone.

But I have error 20 still there. I tested (test numebr 3) coin in and it works perfect. In the test mode machine takes coins and in test mode the machine shows number 09 and when I put coins in it is calculating the coins (03 d 09 1 and then 03 d 09 2 and then 03 d 09 3 etc).

When I close the door, the coin comparitor light goes off and error 20 is still blinking on the led display. And the machine is not taking any coins in.

Then I opened the door and tested the pseudo coin button. The pseudo coin button is not giving any credits (I tested with coin mech switch up and down without any result). And I tested also the pseudo coin switch on the optic card but it is not working either.

Then I cleaned optic card prisma and IR Leds and transistor (No results). I changed the circuit board (no results).

So there is no coin jammed there but the error 20 is still there and I can´t play the machine at all. What should I do next?

Possibility the power supply behind the coin hopper on the back wall needs the module changed.
