5.5( or 55) error on a bally 6000. oddly, for a brief time, the bill acceptor did work. now i get a 55. sometime a 5529. not sure what that means. the cash door switch is intact. the cherry switch at the back of the cash can housing is disconnected. there is a pair of wires cut, a back and a yellow. they are cut kinda short, not enough to have reached the cherry switch. it also had a ticket printer that is missing. some other wires are also disconnected , i guess from the ticket printer. looks like if you go to test 3, you get the switch inputs. how can i see the bill stacker inserted input. and why the heck did it work for a time with the cherry switch unused? the cherry switch is for code 55?
thanks

The Cherry switch was for an aftermarket watch dog system. Not used, installed, or needed on your machine. The 3 wires that come from the bottom of the BV , Gray, Yellow, and White , go to a concealed cashbox door switch. Cut those 3 wires and tie the ends together. That will bypass the concealed switch.
