Title: Bally Alpha 2 iDeck Touch Problem
Post by: JDKMunch on July 23, 2016, 05:21:17 PM
Is there any diagnostic to run on an iDeck?  - I have a Alpha 2 V32 with an iDeck-

It's been working great for several months.  Today I turn it on, the game boots - everything looks fine but the touch on the iDeck doesn't work.  I press the button and the game plays.   When I disconnect the USB from the MPU I get an iDeck touch comm error but it goes away when I plug the USB back in.

So you don't get the touchscreen error, but the touchscreen shows no response?  Have you tried the touchscreen test?  Since you have 2 touchscreens, you should have a choice of which one to test when you pull that up in diagnostic.  Does touching the screen with one hand and touching the metal part of the cabinet with the other make it responsive?

That's right - there was no response at all.   I turned the machine off and back on and it started working again.

I hope the thing doesn't turn into a problem.   I'll see if I can find the touch diagnostic I didn't see it last night.
