Wanting to learn all I can about the S-AVP. Stupid question, but what is a GT loader for?
I know you need a game install dongle, and the license dongle to run a game. Is the GT loader one of thiose? Sorry for silly questions, just trying to learn what all my e keys for the AVP do.

Some games are split into two parts and required a pair of loaders, a "GC" file and a "GT" file. It is typically true about games that are available as both stepper (S-AVP) and MLD video (AVP).

So, if I understand this correctly, one would not be needed with a S-AVP reel spinner that has no video versions of the same game? All 4 of my S-AVP's are 3 reel mechanical reels, so just hoping I would not need that GT loader, as I do not have any that I know of. Just the installer and license dongles for each of my 4 games.

Some games require a gt (reel-spinner) some don't. It depends on how the software engineer designed them and the requirements needed. For example most 003 games are all reel spinner only and most need a gt and and a gc. Hell's bells is a reel spinner only and only needs the GI-so it is all diff. on application.

Would the Winning Colors or Blue blazes need one? Also, have a Western Stars and Red Hot Respins Super Times Pay. I dread the day a NV Ram battery dies, and I have to set it all up again. Just not familiar with working on this platform, but sure as hell enjoying my 4 games!
The Alpha's were intimidating too at first, but can now do them with my eyes closed, and nice knowing I have all the CF cards to do whatever I need to do. :-)

Western Stars (GREAT game btw) and RedHot both have complete software, plus you have the Ekey, Diagnostic and AI(OS) for them. Not trying to Hijack, Sizzz!

This looks like a tutorial from my want to get ad. Yes, You have everything you need, The nav ram battery will not erase your games or any other-They are all on your hard drives-Hard drive crash-Yes you would need back up's -so you are good to go. If your pci batteries go bad or board you will have to replace and set the game up again but the data for games will still be on hard drive. The battery in bottom of brain box goes bad,replace and twist the key and follow the on screen prompts-still won't loose anything. To sum up your ocd--If hard drive crashes-You need the back up software. B. Now please direct these questions in the proper topic.
