Hi
I’m a Sigma NEWBIE…
It is a SIGMA W42…
Got RAM Error .Changed Gold Cap.Turning Reset could not solve the Problem… Have no schematics from the MPU.
Is there a RAM Clear Chip for Sigma available ? If yes where can I get it and what is the procedure or I have to change the RAM’s ?
Would be great if someone could share the schematics or can mark the RAM’s in my picture
Any Help highly appreciated …

Usually it is not actually the RAM chip that is bad.
There was no clear chip made for Sigmas.
Remove the RAM chip, if it is in a socket, and short it's legs on some bare metal for a couple of minutes.

Thank you for the hint…
I will try it

Hi,
pulled the RAM and try to clear as advices..but no success…
There is another RAM on the board..Do I have to clear that one also ?
In parallel I ordered some fresh RAMs
Any further Recommendations would be appreciated

Only one of the RAMs will have DC voltage applied to it, via the charged SuperCap, when the board is turned off.
That is the one to concentrate on.

Thank you
That is the one I have marked wright ?
Do you have schematics from the MPU ? If yes it would be great if you can share it…
Thanks

There should be schematics available for download in the NLG download section.
