Title: V7000 problem
Post by: mr-monoxide on June 08, 2016, 06:51:00 PM
Hey guys, I have a V7000 that I've owned for over a year and although it would have minor issues from time to time it always worked. Recently I was rearranging some stuff in my house and it sat turned off for a few weeks but when I went to turn it on the other day it had a problem. The lights and all that turn on ok and the mpu has the green light lit. The monitor also came on but the screen was completely blank and the game was unresponsive. I thought maybe I had just let it set turned off too long and the mpu battery had died although even if the battery was dead I would expect to see an error message on the screen but it just stayed blank which I thought was weird. I went ahead and popped in a new battery and a clear chip but still the screen stays blank. It's like the system isn't booting up or something. Does anyone have an idea what the problem may be?

Still trying to figure this out.  I'm going to seriously dig into it this weekend and try to get it working again. Any suggestions or ideas will be greatly appreciated.

The power supply was the problem, the voltage output wasn't consistent. I fix that and now all is well. Thanks for everybody's help..
