I have a IGT game King Duces Wild Poker that when I power it up it restarts a couple of times before it stays booted up and playing. Any ideas? Thanks. Bill.

My first thought is to check/replace the power supply.

Ok will do. I'll keep you posted. Thanks. Bill.

Yeah, sounds like a cap issue on the power supply.

Yea that did the trick. Booting up fine now. I'd like to rebuild the old power supply I took out. Any post's on rebuilding this? Thanks. Bill.

Glad that was all it was. Many times when it reboots it does so just as the machine cycles the bill validator. With a weak power supply the extra current draw of the validator motors causes the voltage to drop too low and it resets. I can't say I recall seeing any tutorial type posts on rebuilding them, but I know some people have opened them up and replaced all the electrolytic capacitors.

That's exactly what happened. When the BV kicked in the game dropped out. Fine now. Thanks. Bill.

I haven't done an IGT power supply yet, but I've done 10 to 12 Bally Alpha ones. They shouldn't be that difficult, just look for bulging caps and those are the culprits.
