Title: Bought a WMS CPU-NXT2 NEED HELP PLEASE....
Post by: SLOT JUNKIE on August 17, 2018, 08:32:59 AM
Hello everyone,

I purchased a CPU-NXT2 and I was able to do the Ram Clear and the game was able to load to the set up process. when the set up process starts I get this weird status report with all doors open (Image Posted). I have verified that the Hard Drive is good and the Memory is good. Any help to figure this out would be much appreciated.

Usually that means the MPU is not pushed all the way down and not making contact with all the pins on the backplane.  With POWER OFF, remove and reseat mpu, make sure it is all the way down.  What game did you load since it is complaining about a topbox switch?

If you put the bb1 mpu back does it do the same thing?

Well, then does the original mpu work correctly if you put it back?

Then you may have a bad I/O chip in the MPU unfortunately.

I don't have the schematics, but it is all surface mount, so you might do more damage than good.
