We're having a little get together at my parents. They live by a reservoir that puts on a fireworks show every year. I'll be BBQing 4 racks of beef ribs & 3 racks of baby backs...along with that I'm making coleslaw, baked beans, broccoli salad, cheesy garlic bread, and 2 cakes...oh, and homemade ice cream. Hope everyone enjoys the holiday and stays safe! Especially those of you protecting the rest of us and forgoing your own holiday! :th_Smiley-bbq:

Took my kids down to see fireworks by the London Bridge.....

Had a redneck themed party with about 30 of my closest friends and lit off about 300 fireworks for their viewing pleasure. One of the few good things about living in Kentucky... no fireworks restrictions :dancing_2:

Looks a lot like the pile me and the neighbors had after we got done too, lol. No restrictions on what we can set off here :waving_flag:

I guess we do it different here in Chi-town, 82 shot and 14 dead between Thursday and Monday. :duh: :duh: :duh: And I had to work all those days! :banghead:

Seen that on the news Tacman! Wow! That's crazy! WTF???

I saw an article online attributing those shootings with the new gun control laws in affect there. When will these people in the legislation realize that the people who do these kind of things do not adhere to any new gun laws? Most of them have guns that are considered illegal even by the older gun laws, so why would they obey the new ones?

I'll expand that thought past "gun" laws to ANY law. That part of society many of us do not want to acknowledge do not obey any law, feeling that is particularly targeting them, therefore discriminatory, so why obey it? Until society as a whole stops this great guilt trip and pity party and makes people responsible and accountable for their actions, things will never get better.
