Title: Gameking Ram Error Question
Post by: PapaB on December 22, 2023, 01:39:07 PM
I am looking at purchasing my first game King machine...I believe that it's a Superstars Poker version and in really good condition but the seller is saying that if it accumulates over 500 credits that it overloads the ram and you have to remove and replace the on board battery to clear...he also stated that if you hit the cash out button it does the same thing...it does have a printer installed
Are these just settings issues or something else that should be of concern?

Whoever is selling the machine does not know how to set the machine up correctly.

Agreed. You can have the settings to pretty much whatever you want. There are a lot of posts in this forum (and the IGT GAME KING portion) that can give you more insight to what to do.

That's what my initial thoughts were...I have done clear and key setups on quite a few S2000's...are the gk's similar?

Yes very similar. GK is easier to setup than a S2K IMHO.

He is a private seller...lol
I've attached a picture of the machine in question...
It appears to have an LCD monitor and based on the games on the machine it looks like it has superstars poker software
Any input on the machine would be greatly appreciated.

It's a 19" Panda Cabinet Game King with LCD. Probably a 044 MPU, most likely Super Star poker software installed, but could also be All Star poker as they both have Super Times Pay poker.  There is also a stand alone version for 3902 boards.  If it has a menu system with other games then it's an 044 for sure.  Can't tell what type of bill validator it has without seeing the inside.  Looks to be a nice machine.

It has a huge diagonal scratch on the black plastic molding lower right side of lcd.
Just hope the lcd touchscreen isn't scatched like that.
Check the touchsceen calibration before purchasing.
It's simple to do , turn the Jackpot Reset key twice, and follow the on-screen instuctions.
