Howdy Folks,
I know that I have not been around much lately, but I have been so busy and have had zero free time for any fun stuff! :CaptainHappy_worried:
Unfortunately, I am posting here now because I have received some sad/bad news from one of our long time Members of our NLG Family - Eric aka FoRrHouse late last night.
Eric called me to let me know that his Father, Rudy, passed away on Friday. (For those of you who do not know them, they are the guys behind casinogamingsystems.com who designed and manufacture Flash Burners for our IGT machines.) I knew his father and spent plenty of time with him over the phone over the years, and he was a great man.
I know how much it meant to me to see posts and well wishes from you guys when I lost my Father back on 1/16/2011, so I thought that it would be nice of us to let Eric and his Family know that they are in our thoughts during this incredibly trying time. Eric and my NLG Family were there for me back then to help me, and I was hoping that you all can join me in sending our support, condolences and well wishes to them.

Eric, I also am very sorry to hear of this. Over the years I also spent some time on the phone with your father. I know he really enjoyed collecting coins!. He will be missed and our prayers to you and your family also.

I am down to this, I seen this earlier and I replied. I do know Eric very well and his father and for that being said his mother from many conversations over the phone. They are part of my family from over the years and good people. I cannot attend the wake or funeral or I Damn sure would. Could we offer -for those that care 5.00 towards a nice flower arragement?. Set it up as something from Nlg? Just a Thought I had. These are Good people here-Eric's dad knew a great deal about slots-just from eric alone. I will miss him, Though I never met him but talked often over the years, Barry.

Hi everyone. I want to thank everyone for all of your thoughts and prayers.
It feels good to have such support and I truly appreciate all of the great friendships that I have made here.
I haven't been on here for a while due to helping my mom make arrangements and helping her with other
paperwork and things that must be found and attended to in unfortunate situations like these.
My Dad's funeral is on Monday the 14th and we are still getting everything set up. In the coming weeks
I will be putting some of my personal rare parts up for sale here to help my mom.
I set up a Go Fund It page to help my Mom with my dad's funeral expenses and bills.
My dad's passing hasn't been easy, but luckily we have a great extended family who's been there to support us. Any help no matter how small is much appreciated.

I started a new thread for contributions for the memorial flowers. We will kick off the funding with a $50 donation. Let me just say, I (we) do not know Eric personally, actually have never even done any business, but with the kind words from the others on the site, we feel it goes without saying, it is warranted.
If any would like to contribute a few dollars towards a nice flower arrangement from the NLG community, please contact me via PM. (I owned a flower shop here in town a few years ago...this is my forte (well, pre-slots, of course!).
No contribution is too small...

Forgive my tardiness but I just got to this thread. Eric, I'm so sorry for your loss. It's very hard to lose a parent and I know that words fail; only time will help.
Roz and Barry, thank you for helping to set up donations for flowers. Eric, I also read your post about your mom's need of help. I can make a small donation for both but I'll give more to Eric's mom.

Eric ,What a Shock!! I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your Dad, What a Great person to talk to, as I have several times. I will never forget how your dad always joked around with me About his name "Rudy" and my dog Rudy... What a Great person that was always out to helped others. He will be missed and Never Forgotten. Hi Stat. Thanks for the kind words and your generosity. My mother, brother and I are taking it day by day.
I spent so much time in the last 6 or 7 years with my dad that I have realized that I lost not only my dad, but my best friend.
And yes, it's so true, only time will heal.
John. Thanks also for the kind words and prayers. That is one thing my dad loved to do, joke around. He loved to make people laugh and have a good one himself.
My dad loved people, having good conversations and helping people whenever he could. He was a father figure to many who either didn't have a dad or whos dad wasn't there for them. My dad loved animals. For many years my dad said no to us having a dog, yet when my brother brought one home one day he was the 1st one to run out of the house and by a kennel and toys for her. We found out why he didn't want us to have one a few years later. He suffered the loss of two as a young boy at the hands of a farmer. He wanted to spare us from that kind of pain.

After a good 1st day, I'm continuing to try and raise some money to help my mom out with expenses and
bills related to my dads death. I want to again thank all those who have been so kind and generous with
their donations. Words can not express how much we appreciate it.

As I mentioned a few days before, I set up a Go Fund It page to help my Mom with my dad's funeral expenses and bills.
After helping my mom go through the financials that she's faced with, we've found the situation to be worse
than previously thought, with bankruptcy likely. Personally, from now on I will be giving her all that I have available after bills.
My dad's passing hasn't been easy, but we have great extended family who's been there for us. Any help no matter how small
is much appreciated.

I just wanted to take the time to thank CVslots and all of the NLG members for the flower arrangement for my fathers funeral and for donations to the Go Fund Me page to help my Mom.
The flower arrangement done by Roslyn & CVslots was nothing short of incredible. It stood out as the most beautiful arrangement there and my mom is loving it.
It was a very touching gesture that meant a lot to me and my family. Many members of my extended family commented on it and I, proudly, said that it was from my NLG friends. I know my dad was looking down on it and smiling too.
Thank you so much Roslyn for thinking of my family and for the kind and generous time that you spent on making this flower arrangement happen and on the flower arrangement itself. You even went above and beyond to deliver it! All is much appreciated. It is something that my family and I will never forget and that made the services for my father extra special.

Thanks Pete. I appreciate the donation. It really helps my mom who is so worried and stressed.

Still trying to raise some money to help my mom with bills and other expenses related to my Fathers death.
Her income was cut in half when he passed away.
I raised the goal because expenses keep adding up.
She really needs to get a reliable used car as hers is hanging on by a thread.
I used to let her use my car as a backup until it was stolen a little more than
a year and 1/2 ago. They never found it and that was the reliable car.

Hello Eric,
My condolences to you and your family.
We went through this 6 months ago with the passing of my father.
Today is his birthday, He would have been 87.
My mother is now alone, and sorting out the paperwork, bills, and arrangements was overwhelming.
Luckily my Sister and I live close by, so we see her almost every day.
Take care of your Mom, It is a blessing that you can be there to help her.

It's a hard part of life that we're having to go through and when I say, "we're,"
I'm meaning not only my family, but yours and your sisters as well.
The bills and paperwork keep coming, and although it's difficult and frustrating we
take it day by day. I have been there full time to help my mom with my dad and
I will continue to be there for my mom. They way I feel about it is that, since I'm able to,
it's the least that I can do for all of the love, sacrifices and opportunities they have given
my brother and I. I will say some prayers for your mom. For today, your father's birthday,
try and keep your head up and try and think of all of the happy memories and the times
that you had all of the biggest laughs together. Doing this has been helping me a lot.

I appreciate your post to me. It's nice to hear from people who
know that you're family is going through a hard time. Sometimes,
it's these little things in life that help lift us up a bit.
Also, whether you can or can't, in regards to the gofundme, either way
I just want to thank you for even the thought.
