i have a igt s plus with a dbv 200 bill vallidator i enabled it and set the denom and now it turn on but when i insert a bill it takes it and the light just flash and i kicks the bill back out any ideas as to what will cause this

Clean the optics with just water and a clean cotton cloth. See if you can get it to accept a $1 bill.

i cleaned the optics and still not working just get the flashing lights

Does the machine accept coins and play ?

yes it accepts coins i have changed the bill drive and put in the dbv145 i have and it still does the same thing

i the dbv 145 to work and retried the 200 and it will not work

Run a clear chip on the board and setup the BV and denominations again.

what SP chip is in the machine, (pull the board out and look at the numbers on the chip) what light is flashing? if it is the coin accept lamp, then the machine is telling you the IDO might be wrong. again, depends on the SP chip in your machine, if it is an older number SP chip the IDO could be 022, if that's the case then the 145 head would have to have a chip in it that would respond to 022, the 200 head has both IDO protocols in the software, IDO 022 and ID0 023, it is selectable using DIP switch #10 on the bottom of the 200 head, you could try and change it and see what happens.
