I posted pics of my S5500 that at one point had a bill validator in it. While the cashbox is still there the head and transport are gone. My friend has this unit that he said came out of another S5500. Can anyone verify if it will work in my machine. [/img]

That will not work in your Bally 5500. This is the transport you need. You also need a Bally DBV 145 or 200 model head , the mounting plate, and bezel.

Also need to see the harnesses that plug into the head . There is at least two different types which matters if you need the side board for the head or not.

the head says dbv 200....can you point me to what I need so that I might purchase the correct items. I would like to purchase from someone on this site but dont know what to ask for. Since this is a dbv 200 there is obviously more model #'s required for me to procure the proper setup.

Can you post a picture of the wire harness under where the head and transport mount? They should be laying loose in there. Then I will post a picture of what You need and I may have everything you need.

Your friends DBV 200 model is for IGT. It will not work on a Bally machine.

The head for the bally (145 or 200) should have 11 pins, IGT heads have 12 pins and different software.

That white plug is just used to light up the bezel. It is not needed to get the BV unit working.
