Hello
New to your forum and ran into this post . Looking for info on the Mills Model M or open front ,or M head . Just picked one up and it is not functioning properly . It has just one payout on the hopper side of the payout the jackpot pays 20 nickels plus a 7 dollar hopper payout for a total of 8 dollars ,as well as the typical mechanical payouts , 2 cherries , 3 plums etc .
There appears to be a round brown 7 pin connector at the top inside of the cabinet .It looks very similar to one of those old vacuum tube plug ins like on an old television or radio would have . It has 4 wires on it, but at the bottom where it looks like there should be something plugged into this connector , there is nothing .
The hopper does not work .
I can manually depress the switch at the vertical jackpot finger on the Mills mech and at the same time press the coin counter switch on the hopper and the black box counter registers by counting off a higher number each time I depress the hopper switch .
Looking for any help that anyone can offer .
