As we all know the Hard Drive is the weak link in a Reel Touch machine.
It is very important that you write down the RFA, ATA and BGM information from your machine while it is still operational.
Press the button on the MPU and tab down to 8 (SETUP). then Version, followed by Version Log.
On screen it will show the current RFA, ATA and BGM in use. Write these numbers down and retain them!
If your hard drive fails we will need these numbers to recreate a working replacement for you.
Without them you can probably get your machine up again but you may have to replace multiple SG, VS and top box bios chips $$ costing you more time and money than needed.
One more thing if you own a Reel Touch machine make sure you have a computer keyboard with the small ps2 plug.
You will need this to set the top box bios settings after a battery or HD replacement. They are getting scarce since everything has gone to USB. USB keyboard will NOT work.
Get one and store it in the game cabinet for future use.
