Title: RWB s machine reset needed?
Post by: The Fatman on May 05, 2014, 08:00:02 PM
I am working on a RWB machine. It is an S machine not a + or 2000. The battery has been replaced and now the displays read all 9999. Do I need to do a full reset on this and if I do, do I need a set of reset and denomination chips as I would use in an S+.

Dave,  the "S" machine does not use a SP chip only the game chip.  I am not aware of any clear chip for the "S". (that doesn't mean it doesn't exist, I have never heard of one) The "S" doesn't use door optics, only a cherry switch. Does the display ever change when you push the white test button, or with the door closed,Turning the jackpot reset key??  Has the machine ever worked??   Is the game chip inserted properly?

Thanks ... the machine is in GA and I am in Philly. So it is difficult and takes time to answer these questions. I will let you know what I find out and thanks for the help.
