Post by: hunter2280 on May 16, 2017, 06:56:23 PM
I changed the jurisdiction chip from Nevada to a generic chip, and i get Hard Meter Disconnected. I can not get past this in the set up menu. I put the Nevada chip back in and i do not get the Hard Meter Disconnected. What do i need to do to get past this. Thanks Rick

Do you have the meters connected, or do you have a jumper in the backplane?

I looked at the back plane and see a connector labeled counters, is this what i'am looking for. Looks like a complete wired plug. Here is a picture of the back plane. I do not see any meters on the machine

Follow the meter harness to the other end.  The meters are supposed to be in the middle of the cabinet on the left hand side.  At least they are on all my bally machines.  I don't have an M9000 but a V20 is very similar.  If you don't have the meters, you are going to have to make up a jumper.  Look at the picture below for the meters jumper.

There are no meters. even had the jumper wire tie strapped to the wiring harness next to the plug for the meters. Installed the jumper wire and the generic jurisdiction chip. Now the printer is working. Thanks for all of your help Rick Hunter
