I have a friend sent me an email that his S+ display is lit up with all 9's, I haven't run up against this so I dont know what to tell him and I can't find anything about this on the internet or NLG site.
Anybody know what it is and how to fix it?

he could be in the book keeping mode, have him toggle through using the jackpot reset key, also find out what and how the displays change when doing this. the key is the coins played window, if he is in the BK mode, every time he turns the key it will increment by one number, depending on the SP chip in the game it will continue up to either 7 or 13, then return to the actual idle game play mode. If there are any fault codes, they will be displayed once you are out of the BK mode.
