Title: Bally alpha pro conversion touch screen help
Post by: Txc on August 31, 2017, 07:37:02 PM
I have a v20/32 cabinet converted and currently running Micheal Jackson flawlessly but I have a few spare boards I'm trying to run to just test such as fu dao le and others, I believe those are v32 pros, I can clear and get it to boot on my top monitor perfectly fine but when it comes to touching the menu I have to touch the opposite side of monitor like it's not calibrated but worked perfect for Micheal Jackson. Is there something different with the pros that my machine doesn't have. I've attached a photo of the cabinet I am using. Thank you for any help.

Also if this is wrong section I am sorry I'm new here.

I'm currently doing a micheal jackson conversion and I would love to learn how you did it, I have a v20/32 cabinet, the buttons are original how did you get the new button panel on there.

Did you calibrate the top monitor?  It should work correctly as long as your top screen has a touchscreen and you move the touchcreen connector from the top screen to where the bottom screen usually goes on the mpu.

As for getting an iDeck on the player panel. I did my conversion by removing the entire top part of the player panel and then cutting off the section that is 3/4 of the way to the right that goes across on the top, then  an iDeck from a v22/22 or a V32 or V22/32 will fit in the remaining hole nicely.  Some people leave the side bumpers on, some leave it off. I left mine on.  There's also a rectangular iDeck button panel designed to be a direct replacement for the alpha 1 decks that Bally did in order to upgrade Alpha 1 V32 cabinets to Alpha 2 V32 cabinets.  They are more difficult to locate, the last one I saw on ebay was selling for about $600.00.
