Title: Changing reel strips on Alpha 5 reeler
Post by: Yoeddy1 on December 23, 2017, 02:42:58 AM
So what’s the best way to do this guys?  Is there a way to tell which reel strip goes on which reels by a strip number or something?

Do you guys take the reels out do this or leave them in the machine?

Thanks,
Jason

The reel strips will be numbered 1 through 5. I take my reels out of the machine when I change strips, makes it alot easier. I use double sided tape to attach the end of the strips together and make sure you take out all the slack when you install them, you don't want the strips to be loosely installed on the reels or they will be noisy and buzz when they spin.

I leave the reels in the machine.  I then use a business card to run it along the groove to look for the notch and then install the reel strip.
