Title: Looking for a CEI Manual in pdf.. Nothing in down load section..
Post by: Amechanic on July 23, 2014, 08:23:42 PM
I'm looking for a manual or schematic for a CEI video poker. I have a 904 board, and a 910 mother board.. I looked in the down load section here, and on the old sight but no luck?  I've been reading a lot of old posts, and have an idea what might be wrong, but without a manual or schematic it's a tough go.. Here's a link to my post a week or so back..

Thanks in advance...  Gary

My apologies for the delayed response; it's been a terrible year for me and my family, with little time for fun.
I have the schematic for the 904 board, which I will attach here. Terrible copy-of-a-copy, but it is the original Omega document.
I will also attach the instructions for the 903/904/905 diagnostic eprom, a very helpful device. I have one of those very rare diagnostic chips, but no way to
copy it. I will be glad to lend it to a fellow NLG-er, especially if you have the means to copy it.
If you want it, just send me your physical mailing address.
(But if I don't get it back in working shape, you can expect a nuclear drone strike :spank: :spank: )

Hello... Glad to have you back and for the downloads.. Mark's been trying to hold down the fort, and speaks highly of you.  :soapbox_3: :hail:  I would be interested in the special CEI chip as a loan a little down the road after the holidays.. I have a person that's a video game tech repairman that should be able to copy it. I did have to send Texas Instruments chips North to Canada to Hobby Roms once. They were able to do some early IGT Fortune 1 chips that no one else could.. Thanks again..

OK, whatever works; let me know when you're ready.
As for a manual, I've never found a good one for the early level of machine, such as yours (and mine).
Here's the closest thing: technically, it is a manual for the Rev 23.9 Casino Poker software, but generally applies to
anything with a 903 or 904 board on a backplane 910 or earlier.
By the way, to use the DoubleUp feature at this level, you need the cabinet version with 9 keys on the lower row, not just 5.
If you put double-up eproms on a 10-button machine (5 buttons on top, 5 on bottom) the machine will
lock up on the first win, waiting for input from the buttons you do not have.
