Title: Driving me crazy
Post by: therockinelvis on April 02, 2020, 01:17:16 PM
I have spent 2 hours trying to set up my Alpha. Have cleared at least 15 times. Don't know what I'm messing up. Have message "Machine control not selected" Time sets easy, credit easy, Game play easy, multi.-denom. easy. Never had this much trouble before. Normally takes 3-4 clears to get it. Maybe it's  cabin fever. HELP

Jim,  If I remember correct Under device owner set up you will Put in what printer you have and coin comp if you have, hopper, B.V. and button panel. On my Playboy it is the 14 button. Hope this helps.

I had the low battery message and the 2477 shows 2.7vdc. Doesn't let it get too low does it?

Yeah these alpha's with the 2477, they go through those quickly, in alpha 2's, there's 2 of them.

On all my s2000 machines, I soldered aa battery holders with 8 inch leads then change batteries with machine on.  Don't lose credits or anything. Need to find a way with the Alpha.  Get low battery message just change batteries with machine on.

Wow...do these Alpha's kill batteries like the Bally 5500's did??!!

I mark the date each time. Only get about 1 1/2 years on batteries. And I always cash out.

On the Alpha 2's I get about 6 to 8 months, although I have not marked the batteries, it just seems like I'm replacing batteries every 6 to 8 months.  Also depends on how much use the machines get.  I used to keep my spare MPU's with batteries, now I just remove them.
