Title: V7000 v-hold issue

Hello,  I Just got a v7000


V-hold won’t stay.  I’ve turned it both ways to try to clean contacts.


With fine tuning it will stop temporarily,  but when reset it will be in the wrong vertical
Spot and or scrolling.


I’ve also tried to pull monitor and reseat.


Any suggestions?

CRT?  It probably needs to be recapped.

Yeah it is a crt.


I guess the easiest way to go is to convert it to LCD.


Recapping the monitor seems pretty challenging

LCD is the easiest.  Recapping involves  typically removing the neck from the crt and discharging the crt for safety reasons. Then you remove the board form the cassis, and replaplace all the caps that test bad or look like they are bulging.

Spin should have a replacement lcd. I had purchased one a couple years ago. And you get a 4 year warranty.
