Hello everyone. I just got my first machine last week. When I spin the reels I have this loud buzzing noise. I can’t tell if it’s the reels or in the sound system. And on a side note, every now and then when the machine is completing a spin, the audio goes to complete garbled, white-noise digital trash sounds. (The best I can describe it, haha)
Anyway, here is a video of my machine spinning and the buzzing noise that accompanies it:

I posted this in the general / welcome area, thought I should repost here to introduce myself. My name is Robert and I’m hoping to learn all I can about these amazing machines. I am somewhat technically inclined, so I think so should catch on quick. I hope to get another machine in the future. (Would love a Top Dollar)My other hobby is restoring my 1926 Dodge Brothers automobile. I Hope to make friends and interact with you all as I convert my Sizzling Sevens back to taking coins and acquire other machines.
After doing some research (before I joined here) I bought a Key31 and IVC00097 chip for my machine, I hope these work for me. And a BIG thank you to forum member Ken, I now have a new 25 cent coin comparitor on the way to me. Pictures in my machine and Dodge coming soon!

Sounds like a 502a mpu. They have that buzzing problem with a sound card installed.

Read about it here

Thank you. Interesting fix, but definitely something I can do. Would the pot go directly in line with the speaker wire? If so, positive or negative side? Or does it matter?

Yes in line but to be honest it's a band aid and really doesn't work that well. Replacement with a 504b board is the true fix.

I guess I’ll post in the wanted section for a 504b board. Thanks for the insight.
