Title: 1270 board eating batteries
Post by: qbert on December 03, 2022, 01:41:11 PM
Need some help, I have a S2000 that has lived on my covered porch which living in FL the humidity factor is unavoidable.
I do replace parts more often on these "outside " machines.
Can anyone point me where on the 1270s that I need to look for a board that has started rapidly eating batteries.  I have got it down to the board itself.
I  can put a battery in measuring 3.3V and 24 hours later the battery will drop to 2.7. This is with the mpu removed but has the complete chip set installed.
Thanks

I had one that did that as well.  Unfortunately, I never figured out what component was bad draining the battery like that.  I ended up converting the machine back to a 50X series MPU and scrapping the board because I had the parts to do it and the game didn't require an enhanced MPU.
