Title: Back to the Future setup - Missing "FI014-MM-THM001-01"
Post by: sccarlso on January 21, 2024, 06:52:44 PM
There was a previous post on this, but don't want to post on an old thread, it was resolved by PM.

I have BTTF configured as outlined in the doc.

But I need FI014-MM-THM001-01, or its replacement added to the EGM to make this show up.  Can anybody tell me what needs to be done to get that Game Controlled menu to display?  I don't have this FI014-MM-THM001-01, or its replacement file.
In the igt_full_install package itself, it has the files "AF014-MM-THM001-01.package" and "AF014-MM-THM001-01.certificate".  Names don't exactly match and it's part of the install file, so I would think those would be installed when the game is installed.

Anyone able to help?   :)

Thanks!

Solved.   The included Feature package in the game loader would not install as it would for all games after boot with the eKey on by my other AVP which is a std screen.

Will have to check, but I "think" it's because the OS wasn't a 14B version on my SMLD machine.  But haven't verified it's OS.

Removing the game completely, and then loading by plugging in the eKey and the game loader USB, and THEN booting, invoking a game install on boot, properly installed everything!
In my experience, my other machine which I know has a 14B OS, would give drive validation errors if I installed a game this way.

Going to do a total wipe, latest 14B OS install, and see if it then will load the feature package when installing games post boot with the ekey.  When I did this on my std screen AVP, the machine has booted up cold a lot faster as well.  Will see!

But, it works!  If a post boot install doesn't do the trick, use the hard install method of booting with the ekey and game loader in until it loads, then reboot normally.

Big thanks to RB!   :cool_thumb_up:
