the reset key has 3 position a bottom switch a top switch then in the middle not activating either switch
what is normal game play
had klar work on the board and its on its way

thanx

Are you sure the key has wires to it? If it does is there more than 2 wires?
My F1 doesn’t have a key but the lock is permanently in the position with the tab facing forward. The switch inside has wires going to it but the key switch doesn’t actually do anything.
If I had to guess it would only be used to reset a high payout.

I’m sure the way I’m explaining it is confusing the key switch or the (reset key)on the cabinet has a arm on it like would be on a cabinet with just a metal rod . you turn the key straight up and it depresses a micro switch with two wires going to it. You turn the key toward you all the way to the bottom it presses another micro switch with two wires going to it and there’s a third position in between the two where you can pull the key out and it’s not touching neither switch I was just wondering if the top switch is normal play or the bottom switch or neither before I had Klar worked on the board I couldn’t really see anything on the screen. The letters were all jumbled / the board on its way back from California as we speak but before I sent the mpu board off,to be fixed/ I could turn the key down and it would make a noise and I turned the key up and it would make another noise. Not sure what they were because I couldn’t see anything on the screen.  Thanx freddie

Chris-socal:
That makes sense, you explained it well.
Operating position would normally be in the position where no switch is being pressed by the arm. Sorry I don’t know what they do, but if your machine holds credits one is certainly to clear a payout beyond the hopper limit.

Chris

Badbaud:
The bottom switch is reset, the top is meter readings.
