CDS bingo system error

I am hoping someone  can help me. I picked up a cds bingo machine from an older couple. the machine has a system error, they were told they needed birthing chips. when i got it the battery was dead so I replaced it. they birthing chips were put in upside down. I put themin the right way and get a serial connection timeout. if I put the original chips in I get a system error. I turned the key and the error comes up : error 77, config crc error, bad config crc. what does that mean and how can I fix it?

After some messing around I now get a 90 error saying bad game prom. Anyone know where I can find new ones?   Ban v1.12D  9/9/99
