(1/1)

mikeb40tx:
I had the MEI External flash device and have moved my shop and cannot find the device and have about 15 of these bv's I am trying to get up and running for BB1 and BB2 machines is there any way of doing this without the Flash device?? all of the BV's power cycle and then all lights stay on steady.. all of thes came in BB2 machine I purchased and now have switched them for other ones I had laying around but now I have a box of useless BV's I cannot use.. any Help is appreciated.

mikeb40tx:
Well Good news is I found the PPM.. Now all I need is the software to program the PPM for what I need.. does anyone have the software for these I have it on another computer (also buried somewhere in warehouse..)

tjlee:
I suggest sending the ppm to someone who can program it. Jim at Blueridge did mine a while back.  Even if you get the ppm programmed you still may run into trouble with the mei heads.  If the Easytrak is turned on in these the ppm will not fix this.  It can only be turned off using the mei software.  Your best bet is to send the heads to someone who can flash them and turn the easytrak off if need be.  Others may be able to give you a better insight into this.

Firebird:
If your BV heads cycle and then leave all the lights on steady, my first, best guess would be that the heads have easitrax enabled on them and they are awaiting the easitrax signal to fully enable the head. This is fairly easy to remedy, just need to go into configuration using the STS program and change the RF tag setting to "not present" and change the asset number. Might not even have to reset the asset number, might just have to disable the RF tag, never tried it that way, but it may work.
