Settings and printer bypass

Hello. I recently acquired a Bally Maverick.

First, is there a way to bypass the printer? I don't have paper or ink ribbon for it and the machine says printer error. Is there some way I can circumvent using it? I have the two microswitches for the paper spools held down, but it still gives the error.

Next how can I access the game settings? I see a key-operated switch next to the monitor, is that involved in accessing it? I held it down during power on but that didn't do anything. It also doesn't do anything while the game is on, but I don't know if the aforementioned printer error is preventing it. In addition, what are the DIP switch settings on the lower board?

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
