How RARE is this .50 cent Mills Slot Machine?

Dirty Slots:
This guy is open to my offer of $1500 for this machine. It's a 3 hour drive. Can anyone tell me just how rare this is? If I hung onto is for a few years, restored it a bit...is it one of those machines that will be worth $5000 before we know it?  I heard only 1 in 100 are .25 cent versions. How rare are the .50?? If I'm only going to make $1000 buying and selling it, I'll probably pass. If it will turn out to be the most valuable slot in my collection. I don't want to pass it up.

look at the serial number.  some machines/versions had >400,000 units produced.  from what i was told by the SME on these older machines, they all started sequentially from 1.
