Bally alpha s9000 reel noise

(1/1)

Madwookie:
I am working on a Bally alpha s9000 5 reel American original with top monitor for bonus.  The reels make a growling noise when you play the game.  Its not the same reel it goes from one reel to the other.  It is the reel that spins slower than the rest.  Again it goes from one reel to the other.  There is no tilt or error message.  Is there any way to quite the reels?

Common problem on them. It's the reel strip vibrating against the basket. You have to make sure the strips are super tight to avoid that annoyance. New double sided adhesive tape is a must! Tho some have used rubberbands etc to stop the noise.
