set026 usage

When I replace the game chip with the set026 chip and press self test I get 9--1 in the winner paid window. I want to enable the bill validator but I don't know what to do with the 9--1 display. I use quarters in the machine and it is a s+ haywire. When I go back to my game chip i find bill validator is set to zero and not one.
Is there documentation somewhere as to how to use this set026 chip? I can't find it in downloads.

The SET026 may not be compatible with your SP chip. What SP chip are you using?:

I am using SP873 and the PSR states that 026 can be used.

What does DVB stand for. When I followed the setup guide, after setting 9 equal to 1, I got a 6 instead of a 0 and I set the denomination to 25 as I am using quarters.
I did find after going back to the 873 chip option 9 equals a 1 but the bill acceptor will not accept bills. I need to look further at this problem.
