I'm working on an older 13" monitor IGT Game King. It has the older WBA-11 with the external power supply in it. Can I pull the older WBA assembly and replace it with a newer WBA-13? I would like to run 3.80 firmware.

Yes, but you will need to change the harness at the back of the validator cage. The connectors are different between a WBA10/11 and a WBA 12/13.

thanks for the response. I was just going to replace the whole 11 unit with a 13, including the frame and harness. If I do that will it still require the external power supply?

Nevermind you are going the other way. :duh:

My 13" GK originally had a WBA-11 in it and I upgraded it to a WBA-13 by changing the wiring harness in the back of the housing as others have pointed out. The power for both the WBA-11 and WBA-13 comes from the machines +13/+25VDC main power supply. It's the red/black pair in the photo. It never had a separate external power supply for it.
