Title: Arduino as SAS Host
Post by: MartinS on March 29, 2018, 06:22:40 AM
Hello guys
This is my first post here. I have an IGT S+ that I wish to interface with an Arduino and do some SAS communication. I have read and searched in the archives on the old site long and hard but I can’t seem to find the right information. Would someone kindly help me with this information or point me to it.
In particular,
1.      How do I connect the Machine to the Arduino?
I have a Max232, Arduino, assortment of capacitors. I don’t know how to make the correct Machine – Arduino connections.

2.       What is the code Arduino for, say, a General Poll?
I can write a little Arduino code but I am not up to the 11-bit SAS protocol level and would need some help
3.
Any other info related to the above two.
Thanx in advance

Hi,

I don't think you will find this kind of information on this site.

Most people here are home owners. You might find some info on hacking a Mastercom Player Tracking interface to display a scrolling name like "Jays Casino" but this is a long way from a working player tracking system or interface to SAS of any kind.

Jay thanx for your prompt reply.
I was hoping for general pointers really. I've seen lots of mentions, on this site, where a GM has been connected to an arduino for various purposes. Can someone, at least, point me to information that can enable me make that physical connection for starters.
