VLC errors

63mini:

So, this VLC 8825 thing came home with me today.  It will fire up and allow me to calibrate the touch screen. Then it will briefly come up with the game screen. After that it gets the following error (see below). It will then go into a reboot loop. The batteries have been replaced by the previous owner. So, I imaging it's a reset/ram clear issue?

I believe the bill stacker unsecure issue is due to the BV tray being yanked out and it damaged the connectors which I have fixed two but, the other used different pins which I do not have.  So, I have to make a bypass harness for it.

Any input would be Greatly Appreciated.

I have a VLC 8825 which is working fine. I have never had the bill stacker error come up on my machine. As for the System Failure which has happened to me I had to replace the piggyback board with the 3 pancake batteries on it. I would clear my machine put it back into service and I kept getting the system failure error. I was fortunate enough to purchase a zero clear chip which are just about impossible to find. My zero chip is a 010 which means it will only work on a chip set that has a 010 chip. If your chip reads 004 or something else it would not work. There is a store in Las Vegas that works on VLC boards and I am sure they would get the problem solved. I hope this info helped. You have to remember that the zero clear chips cannot be copied and anytime when you get a low battery warning your headaches will start.

So, did the piggy back board replacement or, the zero/rest IC solve your problem? I have cleared up the bill stacker issue.

vette6048:
It did. Machine is working fine!!

63mini:
Ok, which one? or was it both? If it was the piggy back board there is nothing to those and most components could be replaced cheaply. Three of those are RAM's.
